Wharton PD: Mandatory evacuation, curfew lifted

According to the Wharton Police Department, the mandatory evacuation and curfew that had been in effect for some residents has been lifted.

They say citizens can now return to their homes within the affected areas, but they caution that some low-lying areas are still blocked off because of high water on the roadway.
