HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Several Houston-area communities are keeping true to their tradition and hosting Fourth of July events that include fireworks.

Below is a complied list of some Fourth of July festival locations and fireworks shows going on around the Houston area.

HoustonThe city of Houston will be hosting its annual US Family Health Plan's Freedom Over Texas on July 4. Darius Rucker, formerly front man of Hootie and the Blowfish, and the Eli Young Band will perform in the city's annual freedom celebration.


General admission to the Freedom Over Texas celebration is $8 per person until July 3, or $10 online or at the gate on the day of the event. Children five and under are free.

Houston Symphony

The Houston Symphony will be hosting its ExxonMobil Summer Symphony Nights: A Star Spangled Salute at the Miller Outdoor Theatre. It starts at 8:30pm.

Bayou Bend

The annual 4th of July blowout at Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens offers up an extravaganza of Americana: performers, crafts, activities, refreshments, and more. Don't forget to sign the giant Declaration of Independence before you leave!

CityCentre

You have four chances to catch a night of live musical performances and an Independence Day fireworks spectacular at CityCentre in Houston, from July 1-4.

Deer Park

Fun for the whole at the Jimmy Burke Center from 5pm until 9pm, with rides, crafts and food. Entertainment for the evening will consist of performances by the Skyline Band hitting the indoor stage from 5pm until 7pm, a Veteran's tribute at 7pm and Big Richard will hit the outdoor stage immediately following the Veteran tribute at around 7:15pm. The fireworks display will take place at 9:15pm.

Friendswood

The city of Friendswood is hosting a day full of events. It starts at 10am with a parade that travels down Friendswood Drive and will last until nighttime, concluding with a choreographed fireworks show that starts at about 9:20pm.

Katy

The city of Katy will be hosting its Katy Freedom Celebration at approximately 9pm NEAR Katy Mills Mall. The fireworks are launched between the east side of the mall and Katy Fort Bend Road and can be seen from several miles around the mall area.

Katy -- Cinco Ranch

Go to LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch for the LaCenterra's 4th of July Celebration. It starts at 4:30pm and includes live entertainment, great food, events for the kids and a fabulous fireworks display.

Kemah Boardwalk

The Kemah Boardwalk will be holding its Fourth of July Celebration on Independence Day. It will include live music and patriotic fireworks show over Galveston Bay. For more information, visit the Kemah Boardwalk website.

Kingwood

The Kingwood Town Center will be hosting a series of events between 2 and 9pm. The event will include live music, craft and food booths, kids jumping castles and bungee jump as well as fireworks.

Missouri City

The Missouri City's Fourth of July celebrations will begin at 6pm at Buffalo Run Park. Take advantage of the free activities including moonwalks, a rock wall, face painting, rides and more. Food will be available for purchase. The fireworks show will begin at approximately 9:15 PM. Parking will be available at Thurgood Marshall High School next to Buffalo Run Park.

Nassau Bay

Nassau Bay will be hosting a citywide celebration beginning at 6pm, and it'll include a pie contest and fireworks. For more information, visit www.nassaubay.com.

Pasadena

The city of Pasadena will be hosting its largest city-sponsored event, the 4th Fest at the Pasadena Convention Center, 7902 Fairmont Parkway from 4-10pm. There will be a fireworks show, live music, a car show and much more. For more information, visit the city's website.

Pearland

The city of Pearland will be hosting a celebration at the Pearland High School Football Stadium, 3775 South Main. Gates open at 6pm and fireworks begin at 9pm. Admission is free.

Rosenberg

The city of Rosenberg will host its Family 4th Celebration at 6pm at Seabourne Creek Nature Park, 3831 Highway 36 South. This free event will include horse drawn wagon rides through the park, a carnival area for the kids, live entertainment, food vendors with a taste for everyone, and a spectacular fireworks display. Seabrook

The City of Seabrook will host a 4th of July Kids Parade beginning at 10am. at Meador Park, 2100 Meyer Road. Stick around after the parade for more fun and games including a bouncy house. Refreshments and hot dogs will also be available. Please bring your lawn chairs and cameras.

Spring

Wet 'n' Wild SplashTown will have music, games, prizes and a fireworks show beginning at dusk. The park will be open from 10am-9pm. Online day tickets will be $39.99, gate day tickets will be $44.99. Parking is $10. For more information, visit their website.

Sugar Land

Head to Constellation Field for the city of Sugar Land's Fourth of July celebration the Star Spangled Celebration, which features a variety of events including live music and a fireworks display. The event is scheduled for July 4 from 7-10pm.

Tomball

In Tomball, there will be an evening of celebration honoring America's independence beginning at 5pm. Live music, food, games and activities followed by a fireworks spectacular at dusk.

Webster

The city of Webster is celebrating with an evening of patriotism and entertainment at Texas Avenue Park, 17100 N. Texas Avenue. The festivities go on all day. In addition to a veterans ceremony, there will be entertainment, games and a fireworks show.

The Woodlands

The Woodlands has an entire day of activities planned for Fourth of July. It starts with a parade at 9am at Grogan's Mill Road and Lake Woodlands Drive and ends at dusk with a fireworks display off the shore of Lake Robbins. For more information, visit the city's South Country 4th of July website.
