HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Harris County authorities announce an exciting new community program called Make it Right!

This program is designed to help people with low-level nonviolent misdemeanor offenses.

It will be hosted by Sagemont Church, today from 8:30am to 3:30pm at 11300 South Sam Houston Parkway East, Houston, TX 77089.

If citizens have outstanding Class C warrants or other pending charges in Harris County Precinct 2 and/or Precinct 8, this one-day event will provide a unique opportunity to clear them up in a favorable environment, without having to go to court- for free.

According to information provided by Harris County District Office, "The goal is to provide these individuals with an opportunity to "make things right" for themselves by getting their outstanding warrants removed and their pending cases resolved in a non-traditional and non-confrontational manner, with NO immediate financial cost and NO risk of arrest."

For more information about Make It Right! and qualifying offenses, please call (713) 274-0490 or visit www.jp.hctx.net.
