Fans were upset on Sunday after event organizers cancelled the Open Air music festival at NRG, citing severe weather.

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- The remainder of the Open Air music festival at NRG Park has been canceled, event organizers announced on Sunday afternoon.

Citing lightning storms that are expected to linger in the area for the rest of the day, festival organizers asked attendees to return to their vehicles and exit the venue immediately.
