Texaco station ambush leaves 1 dead in southwest Houston

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A homicide investigation is underway as one man was found dead at the Texaco parking lot at the 7000 block of S Sam Houston Pkwy near Hillcroft.

The victim is being identified as the store clerk who was closing the store. That's when he was going to his vehicle and approached by two males.

The was a reported struggle and that's when shots were fired.

The suspects took the vehicle and dumped it down the street.

The Texaco station was was closed at the time and HPD is reporting that the victim was shot several times.
